As we all know, Florida is The Sunshine State. However, the weather is not always sunny and an unpredictable rain can start at any moment. Especially during the summer, a surprise rain will start and guests at Disney World will have to find some cover. You don’t have to be afraid! A bit of rain shouldn’t ruin your trip to Disney World. If you find yourself visiting Disney World while it’s raining, there are a lot of attractions that you can enjoy until the sun is back.
The Best Attractions to Ride When it Rains
The Great Movie
This ride is awesome to check when the rain starts. The queue area is awesomely covered. Besides the ride, you will also enjoy a pre-show. It would be the best to visit this place when there is a very long storm out since the ride lasts over 20 minutes. The ride itself is very nostalgic and adults love it while kids usually fall asleep. Keep in mind that there are a few scary scenes if you’re going to this place with small kids.
Toy Story Midway Mania
A lot of people simply love this ride. It’s awesome for all ages and there is something that brings out the best in people. The entire queue is set up inside and that’s why it’s fantastic for rainy days. The queue itself is well themed but it isn’t really interactive. People usually look at toys they had as kids and talk about their favorites. You will sometimes wait for a very long time to get on this ride, but you won’t be soaking wet at least.
This ride is probably the most popular ride at Disney World, which results in long queues. This is, of course, a negative thing about it, but why don’t you go to this attraction if it rains? The queue line for this ride is fully covered and air-conditioned. This will provide you with good protection from the rain before you start enjoying this awesome Disney attraction.
Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
This place is an awesome place to visit during the event of rain. The ride is inspired by a TV series “The Twilight Zone”. Visitors are placed in a hotel elevator and people disappear thanks to some supernatural forces. A little bit scary, but not really. The clouds will maybe disappear by the time you exit this ride. You will find it fun, but it’s probably more fun for adults than kids.
This attraction will make you travel through time! Really, you will go from the Stone age to the computer age. When you’re done with this attraction, you can try to visit Project Tomorrow’s interactive play area. Hopefully, when you’re out of the Spaceship Earth, the clouds will be gone and you can continue to enjoy the sun and the rest of Disney World.
Even though all of these attractions are awesome and you should visit them anyways, I hope you won’t have to do it while it’s raining!
