Over time, most people fall into what is referred to as their comfort zone. In other words, you are satisfied with where you are in life and you don’t want to do anything that might upset things. It’s hard to get out of your comfort zone but you miss out on a lot of good opportunities if you don’t. One way to make this difficult task a little easier is by making it fun.
Here are three fun ways to get out of your comfort zone and move forward in life:
- Spend more time with friends that do the things you want to do outside of your comfort zone. It’s easier to take that leap and do things you’re uncomfortable with when you have a friend or two helping you out.
- Make it a challenge or competition. Find a friend or family member that’s settled into a comfortable routine and challenge them to see who can step out of their comfort zone first. Friendly competitions are a lot of fun and very motivational.
- Think about what you could gain by stepping outside of your comfort zone. When you stop focusing on the fear and start thinking about what you could gain by pushing yourself a little harder, you’ll gain a whole new perspective on things.
Discovering that you can do more and enjoy things that you once thought was out of reach will be life changing. When you step out of your comfort zone, you’ll discover there is a whole new world just waiting for you to make that first move and these tips can help.
