One of the things I hear the most often from people is: HOW can I save up money when it takes everything we have (practically) to keep going right now?
Simple: Small Steps.
Whether you are trying to build your emergency fund, stick money into your kiddo’s college fund or even pop cash into your own retirement, this is a SIMPLE way to focus on it for the new year!
You make 52 deposits – one a week.
This starts small, with the first week being only $1 — as you are probably starting this out with an incredibly tight current budget, but as the year progresses you can easily pop more in each week.
If you follow this plan, you will have saved $1,378 — and that doesn’t account for any earned interest!
This is a savings plan/challenge that should work with ANY budget — I challenge you to make putting money away one of your priorities for 2014.
Blessings –
Dannelle
