What’s Williams Got to Offer?
Flagstaff and Prescott, Arizona are also unique attractions in their own rights. Drive up into the mountains to experience Native American ruins, or up into mining towns built on the side of a mountain, which are still populated today and offer handmade, exquisite pottery, jewelry, ceramics, stones, tapestries, and other art. Prescott and Flagstaff both offer incredible art galleries featuring world-renowned and local artists. Don’t forget to check out some of the local cuisine, including some of the best Mexican restaurants in the country.
The Grand Canyon is just a few hours straight north of Williams. If you’d like to visit without the expense of staying close to the attraction, Williams is a perfect place to stay while driving up to the Grand Canyon for a day or two. This breathtaking attraction is definitely worth your time, and your children should experience it with you. Bring the expensive camera and take tons of photos of the incredible caverns and rock formations. If you’re feeling really adventurous, take some of the hiking trails down into the canyon. Stop along the way and chat with your kids about science and rock formations. Most of all, spend some time soaking it all in.
