If you have followed me for any time, you know that I love good, hearty homemade meals. They taste so much better than something quick and easy. But with summer in full swing and the kiddo home, I feel like before I even start thinking about dinner it’s past dinner time. I’ve been relying on my Instant Pot to help me with, but lets face it- not every meal can be cooked in the Instant Pot.
Lately, to save time during meal prep I’ve been using the Black + Decker MultiPrep Slice ‘N Dice to do all my cutting. The MultiPrep Slice ‘N Dice cuts time-consuming kitchen tasks in more than half off the time I would have to invest. The six cutting functions include, dicing, slicing, julienning, shredding, grating, and cutting – plus I can adjust the thickness of slices with the external level control to fit my needs.
I played with the Slice ‘n Dice for canning and am actually in love! In 2016, at the International Home and Housewares show, automatic dicing machines were all the rage — but weren’t really incredible when you watched them in action. This year, I saw the one. The gem. The most amazing one I have seen in action! So, let’s talk — I used it to dice for my canned chicken soup recipe…carrots, onions, and celery
I used it to dice potatoes for corn chowder (just a fancy word for potato soup with corn).
And I used it to slice organic carrots for canning…for perfect carrot coins!
Seriously, this amazing Slice ‘n Dice is beyond easy to use and incredibly user friendly! The sturdy color-coded cutting discs attach easily to the motor assembly, and a sweeper arm guides food through the chute into my work bowl. All removable parts are dishwasher-safe, and the cutting discs fit nicely into the compact storage case, which comes with a hinged lid for easy storage. All for just under $100.
