“So now scooping beans into the coffee grinder is a problem?” That was my first impression when I saw the Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder with its bean storage compartment. Well . . . I am officially climbing down from that high horse. I must admit, it was nice just having the beans right there in the machine waiting to be ground, especially in the morning when I really needed a cup of coffee!
The Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder really delivers. The instructions were very clear and easy to follow. Operation of the grinder was easy with all of the switches and setting all clear and easy to read and figure out. This grinder is capable of milling beans to a variety of settings – course enough for a drip machine and fine enough to make espresso. It also grinds the beans in whatever quantity you wish. You simply set the grind and amount and hit a button – no more scooping beans into the grinder and winding up with too much or too little coffee!
The Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder came with a little tiny brush that is pretty handy for clearing out the grinder chute. It would be nice if there was a nook or cranny somewhere that the brush could be stored since the brush is a little tiny thing (that’s a nuanced way of saying “easy to lose”).
Also, I wish Capresso could have put a little more function over form into container the ground fall into. I would have liked to see a steeply cut corner, a spout, something that would make pouring out the ground coffee a little easier and more focused. But, this is a truly minor concern with an otherwise great product.
Finally, I love the look of the Capresso Coffee Burr Grinder. It is a sleek and modern design and is compact enough to not take up too much space on a kitchen counter. This is a big plus for me, since I intend to use this terrific grinder often!
