There is one rule when you’re planning a trip to Disney World. You simply won’t have enough time to do it all. Even guests that visit Disney every season usually don’t plan their trip perfectly. You have to choose what makes the most sense for your budget, family, and sanity. Here are ten things to make or borrow before heading to Disney. However, your list might look different, but I recommend this!
10 Things to Make or Borrow Before Heading to Disney
I can’t explain with words how important these are while you’re at Disney World. They also play a huge part in saving interesting moments for your kids. You can print photos from your visit and include them in an autograph book.
- Penny holder
M&M containers work perfectly for this project. If you don’t have them, just go to a gas station and get a few. Make as many as you want to. Your kids will probably be happier if they eat the M&Ms first. Fill them with pennies and let your kids threw them when you pass by a fountain. It is practically free and super easy. Disney is donating all of the money to charity, in case you’re wondering.
Hopefully, you won’t have to test these out, but they’re important. Simply write somewhere “I’m lost, please call xxx-xxx-xxxx”
- Baby stroller, carrier
Transporting babies around Disney can be quite stressful. Make sure you have a stroller or a baby carrier.
- Princess dress
Don’t wait to buy a princess dress at a park unless you want to pay $80+ for it. Borrow it from someone in your town. Your little girl is going to ask you to buy her that dress at the park, be sure. So, be prepared…they run under $30 at your local Target or, better yet? Scour the after Halloween sales for a gem at 90% off.
- Rain ponchos
Florida is known for its random rain. The rain usually doesn’t last long, but you could make your day ten times worse if you get caught without a poncho. You want something to cover your scooter and stroller also. You can borrow a couple of ponchos from someone you know before you start your vacation. It will be a day saver, trust me! You can find them at the local dollar store for just a buck!
- Phone charger and a memory card
You want to take an extra memory card if you’re taking your DSLR. Don’t forget to borrow an extra phone charger if you’re using your phone as a camera, you’ll need it! Someone you know probably has some extra chargers.
Ask someone if they have a couple of glowsticks at their home. The kids will forget about being tired and will love having these while they watch their favorite shows. Again, easy to find at the local dollar store.
- Fantasy bands
You can find these at the parks, but try to borrow them from someone as they are usually pretty expensive.
- Refillable water bottles
Make your own customized water bottles. You will know which bottle belongs to whom and the small kids will find them funny. Disney is offering free water and you can refill them whenever you want to.
We hope that out list of the 10 Things to Make or Borrow Before Heading to Disney makes planning for your trip easier. When you are prepared, all that is left to do is have fun!
