Make sure you take your own grocery bags — you get $.05 for each one — that may not seem like a lot but 10 a week, for 50 weeks is $25.00 !!
–Look for $1/# or less for fresh, seasonal items
–Weigh bags to get the heavier ones (ex: 10# bag of potatoes for $1.99, you might get an 11# bag)
Meat pricing guidelines:
–$1/# or less for bone in birds and ground turkey
-$2/# or less for ground beef, boneless skinless chicken, ham and pork
-$3/# or less for beef roasts and bacon
-$4/# or less for deli meat
-$5/# for frozen seafood and steak
