In my rough plan I had budgeted $16 or less for Copp’s this week. I came in under budget!
McCormick gravy mixes were on sale (actually the entire McCormick line…) for 50% off and I had TEN coupons for $.55 off two. Gravy mixes range in prices from $1.59 for chicken/turkey to $.89 for plain old beef gravy. I am cheap and also know that by using pan drippings instead of cold water (using cold water to make it to the 1 cup)that I can flavor the gravy myself.
The gravy came to $.44 each with their sale and then, when I got two and took the $.55 coupon off, dropped to $.17 each.
I bought 20 of them….
Here is my list today — I didn’t stray too much from what I said I would do:
5 cans chicken broth (first three at $.33 and the other two at $.89)
20 gravy mixes @.44 (was .89)
2 cool whip – french vanilla flavored for the pumpkin crisp tomorrow! @ $.99 each (was 1.75 each)
1 avocado @$1.49
2 Buitoni fresh pasta @$3.00 (was $4.19)
1 Nabisco Wheat Thins @$2.00 (was $2.99)
1 dishwasher Finish Tabs @$4.35
1 4# bag of navel oranges @$2.99 (normally $4.99)
1 gallon milk @$2.19
Coupons used: two $1 off Buitoni (doubled), $1 wheat thins (doubled), $1 off two Cool Whip (doubled), $.75 off 5 broth (doubled), ten $.55 of two gravy mixes, $1.50 off Finish, $4 off next order catalina, FREE avocado, $3 off milk, $3 RR (my LAST one until Friday!)
$50.14 for $4.58, a savings of $45.56 (90.8%)!!
It looks like I bought the dishwasher detergent and got the rest FREE – Who doesn’t just LOVE couponing???!!!
Here is the monthly total
-9.92 – first Target run
-17.83 – second Target run
-4.72 (Shopko deals)
-3.26 (this week)
-12.03 (Noodles n Company meal)
-20.11 for Girls Gone Wild Weekend…
-$3.83 for Copps this week
-$4.58 for Copp’s this week
$23.62 to go!
I am going to hit Walgreen’s before I go to Family Dollar on Friday — I just got a $5 off $25+ purchase from Family Dollar and am now checking to see what they have on sale besides canned veggies!
I now have enough cans of chicken broth the winter soups that need it, almost a years worth of gravy mix, refrigerated ravioli to make ravioli lasagna (1 package cheese and 1 package beef/sausage), and have enough crackers to get me through all of the holiday cheese balls I will be making, LOL!
I think it’s time I split an orange with my peanut — catch ya later!
