Disclosure: I was provided the product for review purposes, all thoughts are entirely my own.
I was tickled when I was asked by Victoria Chart Company if I wanted to test out their product! We are BIG “list” people and Miss Sarah has had some sort of a chart for as long as I can remember. Before she was 2, she had a chart where she put her own dishes in the sink, picked up her blocks and put her clothes in the hamper.
Potty training was another chart!
After potty training, came a chore chart that included brushing her teeth, picking up Legos, etc.
Kiddos like instant gratification but we, as parents, need to teach them things like goal setting and what it means to “earn” something.
Miss Sarah earned a Curious George stuffed monkey ($5 Kohl’s for Kids toy) and carried it everywhere for almost 2 years. If an adult asked about it – she proudly said:
“I EARNED him”.
Those are very powerful words!
Now that she’s getting older, my little charts just didn’t seem to mesh — but they had a GREAT one for her age at the Victoria Chart Company!
The My Credit Chart has a lot of age appropriate items pre-listed, but also space to write in your own. According to them:
Our Credit Chart provides the perfect opportunity for independent decision-making, encourage motivation and building self confidence.
The charts are write on/wipe off — come with a marker to do that and double sided sticky tap to mount on that door/cupboard.
Instead, we put a magnet on the back and it found it’s home on the fridge. We added Practice Piano and feed the cat:
She has to EARN TV time, and can earn a friend sleeping over — total FUN!
So — here is the cool thing: Victoria Chart Company has TONS of charts:
Help with that bedtime routine, help with tooth brushing, chore charts,
potty training, military deployment and more!
They have a discount code VCHART15 for 15% off at checkout…
but are letting me give one away to a lucky reader!
Just follow what the rafflecopter says, and good luck!
