like they did with my mother-in-law being in the ICU for a week, I don’t always get time to put a proper meal on the table.
It seems like my day either flies by so
quick that it’s already dinner time and
I have absolutely nothing prepared
or what I had planned simply doesn’t work….
or I’m so tired that I just don’t have the
energy to put anything together.
I can take one day a week, pull together all of the ingredients and have meals for a couple of weeks or more. It’s great! I used to do freezer cooking in the casserole pan and it worked but was a bit more complicated. Now I do freezer cooking in a Ziploc baggie or Tupperware container.
It’s awesome and SO EASY!
My fellow blogger and Wisconsonite, Dawn from Blogging Mom of 4, has put together a series on Crock pot Freezer Cooking. She has an introduction to Crock pot Freezer Cooking and then a few Freezer Cooking Meals like the Hamburger series and Hamburger Series 2. I thought you would love both so I linked them up for you so you could check them out.
There are some great recipes, bulk cooking tips, etc that will give you ideas on how to begin the process of Crock pot Freezer cooking. There’s even shopping lists so the planning is all done for you! She’s an everyday mom just like the rest of us just trying to juggle it all.
Check it out and let me know how you like it.
