***I was given a gift card from Denny’s in exchange for this post, all choices were ours and the opinions expressed are entirely my own.***
This was a fun challenge: Seeing how far we could go with the $2-4-6-8 value menu from Denny’s!
Now that it is fall, and Miss Sarah is in Dance Wisconsin’s Nutcracker, we have insane Sunday’s! We go to church, then Sunday School, then she has Cherub Choir practice. We can stop somewhere for a quick bite to eat and then, she has dance rehearsal at 1:00. After that, we get together with my father-in-law for Sunday dinner.
Close to her dance studio, there is a Denny’s restaurant…we were seated almost instantly and given the menus. The hubster and I ordered off of this, the $2 – 4 – 6 – 8 Menu.
I got the $2 Biscuits ‘n Gravy with scrambled egg:
The hubster got the Everyday Value Slam for $4 :
Now, Miss Sarah ordered off of the kid’s menu:
She got the Jr Grand Slam for $2.99 — she would have gotten the same thing as her Daddy off the other menu and this was a buck less. Now, this was supposed to have three “Silver Dollar Pancakes”, do these look like silver dollar cakes to you?
They were the same size as the ones the hubster got, LOL! (He ended up eating one of her three).
Bottom line, it was a LOT of food for under $10. ($9.48 to be exact). We only used a portion of the gift card that we were given and can go back a few more times to indulge ourselves!
The hubby like the pancakes better than a few of the other places we have gone (and spent over $40 for 4 people!) and our service was speedy.
We DID only drink water, but that is pretty normal for us — I am sure that would have jumped our bill a little bit…but we all had plenty to eat.
If you haven’t tried Denny’s lately, you should give it a try! They are part of a group of chain restaurants that are working on make healthier kid’s menu choices for our little people.
Don’t forget — they are always open!
Now, I have a little giveaway —
A $10 Denny’s Gift Card for one lucky reader – good luck!
