We had never taken Miss Sarah to Hollywood Studios before so this entire place was new to her (and us)!
We had planned to spend the day here and had our dining reservations all lined up in advance.
Why did we pick those places?
- Studio Catering had some great sounding sandwiches – I could see myself with a Chicken Caesar Wrap and the hubster with a Sloppy Joe and Sarah could live on PBJ!
- Prime Time? Yes – I was drawn to the “kitschy” feel of it, and sucked in by the comfort food. I knew the hubster would have meatloaf, the pot roast called to me and Miss Sarah was all over the grilled chicken strips.
Ok, now that you know where we ate and what we had — let’s fill you in on some FUN.
Here our Disney Hollywood Studios Tips:
First: Get your picture taken when you enter the Park, in front of Mickey’s Hat is a great location. The photographer will take a photo on a Photopass card and with your own camera.
Then, the Great Movie Ride. The only scary part for Miss Sarah was the segment of the movie Alien. (we covered her eyes)
Then Muppet Vision 3D – closed for renovations during our visit but….when you go:
work your way down to the bottom (lower) waiting area. You still get a good view of the pre-show and when you enter the theater, you are sitting closer to the screen and you get to enjoy more of the special effects. But when the doors open to enter the theater, let few people go in front of you. The first people in have to move all the way across and this will leave you a seat in the middle.
Rockin Rollercoaster (fast pass) – When you ride the Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster, if you want to try to sit in the front car, get in line on the right side. (There will be two lines). You can also ask the cast member if you can sit in the front yow. You may have to wait a little bit longer, but they will accommodate you
Tower of Terror? – Do not miss for any reason riding the Tower of Terror. I am afraid of heights but this ride is so amazing you MUST do it. It doesn’t feel in your stomach like the falls in a roller coaster, it just feels amazing, like floating. I guarantee that you will enjoy it and it won’t hurt a bit.
Backlot Studio Tour time!
They will ask if there are four volunteers who don’t mind getting wet.
Jump at it!
