When there is just not enough time in the day, it’s 5pm and I still have to figure out what’s for dinner, I know I can always find pasta in my pantry. I can never time it right though between cooking the pasta and the sauce. Usually I heat up the sauce too early and then it starts boiling and making a mess everywhere while the pasta is still cooking. (sigh) This is where Fasta Pasta comes in handy!
Fasta Pasta is a microwave cooker for pasta. Not only can it be used for pasta though…it also can be used for other items such as rice, vegetables, and even cake! We LOVE multi-purpose kitchen items! It’s made in the USA, is dishwasher safe (a HUGE plus in my book), and is made of BPA free material.
Another problem I have when cooking pasta is cooking too much. I usually end up throwing a bunch out or the leftovers sit and hide in the back of my fridge. You can see the portion guide on the cover, but aA cooking guide is included also. The cooking guide states exactly how many cups of pasta are needed for the serving size, the water level (there are lines on the cooker for the different levels) to fill, and how long to microwave for. It has different instructions for the different types of pasta (macaroni, tortellini, penne, etc.) to cook al dente pasta.
The instructions are beyond easy! You just measure out your pasta, add water to the fill line, put it in the microwave and set the timer. Once it’s done, it’s easy to strain by just setting the lid on top. It really makes cooking pasta easy with less clean up. Heck – even my hubby can manage this! 😀
My 11-year-old has been helping out in the kitchen more and this will be easier for her to cook mac and cheese for lunch. The only minor suggestion I have would be if there was a way to lock the lid on top to help avoid spills…especially for clumsy people like me! The Fasta Pasta cooker would make a nice gift for college students, busy families, and anyone looking for convenience. I know we will be using it on a regular basis around here!
