Chemistry Fun at UW Space Place
Space Place family workshops are offered every Saturday at 10 a.m. for children ages 6-10 and their parents. The workshops are free and open to the public. No registration is required for any of the workshops but attendance is LIMITED to the first 50 people. This weekend: B-B-B Bubbles! Learn what they are and how they work -See more HERE.

Visit the UW Geology Museum

Dayton St., 262-2399, http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow, and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!

Do you love FREE events? This one is for you! If you have little ones (or big ones, as in the case my hubby) that are fascinated by anything bigger than the family car? On display – that y’all can get close to – are a skid steer, snow plow, tractor, fire engine, police car, construction trucks and much more! 11-2PM, see more HERE

10-4PM at Angel Park, they will have rescue groups, dog friendly businesses, contests, hands on events, demos, food, fun and more!
The Memorial Union Terrace
They always seem to have something fun going on there – music, Babcock ice cream, etc and there is no charge!
Last time we went there were FREE crafts, a GIANT inflatable Bucky, Balloon animals and an outdoor brat stand (not FREE).
Look for the big orange chair and turn it into a photo-op like we did with Miss Sarah and the peanut of Ashely from Coupons for Wisconsin already this summer!
