With the retro trend this holiday season, a simple walk down the toy aisles is like a walk down memory lane. Blasts from the pasts are back and some are even super-sized like the Giant Magic 8 Ball. I felt like the deprived child, as I never had my own 8 Ball and was entranced with the ones my friends had (sigh). Now, I can more than make up for it with the Giant new version.
Coming in at 10 inches instead of the classic softball size, this giant gem still has 20 possible answers. Any issue that can be reduced to a yes/no question can be answered by the Magic 8-Ball simply by asking the question and then flipping it over to read the answer in the window.
My only suggestion? Make the answer dice inside larger like the larger version of the Magic 8 Ball. For us with over 40 eyes, that small dice is occasionally a little challenging to read in the black inky floating field. This can lead to a fun party game — who can read the answer, LOL!
All in all, this new twist on an old classic makes for a delightful treat.
