I am still on a work out restriction – for a huge reason.
My lung issue has been cleared (no problems!) but I am going through coronary testing as I have the same freak thing as my Mom’s family. They are trying to figure out how bad it is and if I need the same surgery…once I have the answers, I can move on from there. So far I have been cleared for walking (not too fast), yoga and that is it…which is a big challenge, to loose weight when you can’t really work out. Most of what I have done so far has been from walking.
My first big thing was finally finding the right pair of shoes!
My arthritis is also in my feet so it can hurt to walk very far. The Sketcher’s Shape Ups take the stress off the heel and make it easy to walk! I can now walk the kiddo to school and keep going around the block, which is exactly one mile long when before, I could barely walk up to the school. If you have feet issues, check these out:
Make sure you follow the instructions and do NOT wear them for the entire day until you are used to them — you will have shin splints and more, LOL! You WILL feel the muscles they target — which is a good thing. It’s kind of like Isometric exercises when you wear them.
