When I was in Chicago for BlogHer, I was treated to a Lunch with Lean Cuisine.
Before you think “eww…..”, let me tell you – it was to see the NEW Honestly Good line.
According to them:
New LEAN CUISINE® Honestly Good™ is frozen food like you’ve never seen or tasted before. Available in the natural meals section of the freezer aisle, LEAN CUISINE® Honestly Good™ entrées are made with a delicious combination of thoughtfully selected, quality ingredients that are 100% all natural and contain no preservatives. With LEAN CUISINE® Honestly Good™, what’s left out is as important as what’s put in. All six varieties feature lean proteins like whole white meat chicken breasts and North Pacific wild caught fish filets, nutritious whole grains and farm-selected vegetables with a flavor-packed sauce you add yourself.
I agree. It was unlike any I tasted before and was YUMMY!
The focused on whole grains, fresh veggies, neat sauces and flavor combinations
We tried the Pomegranate Chicken and the Lemon grass Salmon meals, and I was impressed. If you aren’t familiar with my background, I am a professional chef and had a restaurant and catering company for almost 10 years.
For a frozen meal, these were danged good!
Now, they also give back (something I adore) !
Together with some of these farmers, we’re donating a portion of the vegetables grown for LEAN CUISINE®
Honestly Good™ to local communities through our Honestly Good Giving™ program. In our first year, we will give one million servings of vegetables, so they can be enjoyed by those in need.
Now, the suggested retail price for these yummy meals is $4.79 — but, I have a coupon for you!
$1.00/1 — so watch for a sale as these come into your stores this fall — and hopefully, we will see this dessert soon:
It was a gluten free chocolate cake made with black beans — super healthy and VERY yummy! Most GF cakes have a “funky” texture to me, but this was good! Add that cool brittle — and I just adore that fork design (gonna steal it…)
