According to Wikipedia…
A hotspot is a site that offers Internet access over a wireless local area network (WLAN) through the use of a router connected to a link to an Internet service provider. Hotspots typically use Wi-Fi technology.
Hotspots may be found in coffee shops and various other public establishments in many developed urban areas throughout the world.
Now isn’t that handy?
Here is the thing…I am NOT talking about carrying a coffee shop around in your back pocket. I am simply talking about my BlackBerry device!
EASY – PEASY!
Now I was ready to “connect to a network” on my laptop and I was good to go!
Keep in mind that it DOES use data to crunch on a hotspot if you are using your phone, but aren’t there times when you simply HAVE to get online?
(I know I felt like that at the cabin!)
THAT, my darlings, is how I was able to share a few fun things with you while I was in the middle of no where.
I am now HOOKED!
I simply adore the idea of have internet access as close as my phone — now if I could just find an easier to carry around laptop, LOL!
Have you ever been anywhere that you couldn’t “be connected”?
