I have mentioned before that I have been cut out of two very severe car accidents…so after all the broken bones healed, I have arthritis, fibromyalgia, TMJ, get migraines and more. If I took all the “medicine” that is normally suggested I would be on a couch drooling all day instead of having an active lifestyle with a very active 8 year old daughter.
That is why I was tickled to be able to participate in the review of this natural pain reliever line from Lakota, because I am a believer in alternative medicine!
First of all, I was astounded by the package that they shipped me — SUPER generous and a great cross selection of their line! Even something for canine joint pain that a friend of mine says is helping her aging companion.
Arthritis Pain, Muscle Pain, Joint Pain, Back Pain — pretty much all covered here! Things to swallow, topical lotions, Lakota pretty much has it all, and it’s natural.
From their website:
Lakota is a blend of herbal medicine: white willow bark, yucca root and devil’s claw, boswellia and others; combined with modern, natural ingredients such as glucosamine and collagen type II.
They like to consider themselves “rooted in traditional medicine and made with natural ingredients”.
I was sold!
Until I tried it….
First of all, you need to know that I am VERY sensitive to things – if there is a side effect, I will probably get it. My skin did NOT like the topical creams I tried, to the point I got a rash. I tried the Lakota Muscle Pain and the Arthritis. Within 15 minutes, I was in the shower to wash it off and relieve the incredible burn I felt…so I chose NOT to try the stuff ya swallow. (I’m not sharing pictures…sorry!)
Now, my pal Eric who suffers from back pain, tried both Back Pain items and found long lasting relief with no side effects.
It must be just me, LOL!
I’m on the fence with this one, if you are like me and have sensitive skin or a lot of medical allergy/reactions, you might want to skip this…if you are like Marc’s dog or even my friend Eric – I say go for it.
