I also want to seriously empty that chest freezer so I am ready for the big sales in March on Frozen food items…so meal planning is the key!
I will have different “themes” this month: Soup Day, Quiche Day, Crepe Day, Crock Pot Day and then 2 days of “normal” along with one day of Fridge Clean Out. This should help keep grocery shopping to a minimum of Milk, bread, eggs and fresh fruit!
* Means it is something I pulled out of the freezer
Here is our list for the week:
– Egg bakes
– Yogurt parfaits*
– Circus Waffles (I make ONE batch of batter and leave it in the fridge for a few days, until it’s gone)
Tuesday – Quiche Day: Bacon*, Onion, Mushroom and Swiss. (skipped it last week)
Wednesday – Crock Pot Day: Roast Chicken and veggies.
Thursday – Chili
Friday – Fridge Clean Out!
Saturday – Eating out. It’s Madison Restaurant Week and we have a $50 GC to the Food Fight chain – several of their restaurants are participating.
Sunday – Chicken and broccoli crepes (using left over chicken from Wednesday)
What are you going to feed YOUR family this week?
