I have a lot of cookies to sort and package up!
We plan to drop them off for the Karate teachers, Ballet teachers, ladies who answer the phone at the Dr Office (I ALWAYS get in quickly for a migraine shot!), a package for the Doc and my Nurse. Then comes a few assorted “host plates” for the different places we go – saving room for the Krumkake, which I make closer to Christmas.
Saturday will be our “busy day” as I will hit Copp’s when they open for Double Double day, then we have ballet, Christmas Pageant rehearsal, Church craft time and then a birthday party…possibly ending with Miss Sarah’s best friend sleeping over. I think I will need all week to prepare for that running around, LOL!
I lost two days last week to a nasty migraine — so YES, I have those silly pickles still on my “to do” list!🙂
Knowing what is on the calendar means it’s easier to plan!
Simpler recipes for busier nights — or things that are made ahead and just heated through to serve…like the Calico beans or Soup. Those treats can freeze well for future meals – so I plan to freeze half of them, right off the bat.
Here is our list for the week:
– Peanut Butter and Nutella Toast
Lunches as normal (sandwiches, snacky stuff, wraps, left overs, tappas plates) and for dinner…
Tuesday – Fridge Clean Out
Wednesday – Chicken Broccoli Crepes (skipped it last week)
Thursday – Ham Mornay (if I pickup a ham at HyVee)
Friday – Fish Fry! (using a gift certificate)
Saturday – Child friendly fare: hot dogs, mac N cheese (if we have the sleepover)
Sunday – Crock Pot Beef Roast with carrots, potatoes and onions, tossed salad and multi grain rolls.
