So, the boxes are packed, big stuff ready to haul and it’s time to call the movers. I left three (3) messages with the company we had used before and NEVER heard back from them – until I posted my frustration on Instagram and the national franchise contacted me. (I never did hear from the local branch of 2 Men and a Truck!)
OK – call someone else! I did – a few movers and they called me back instantly or actually answered the phone. One company sent a person out to look at everything being moved so they could send me an estimate. One company did it right over the phone. — that’s who we went with and they came in under the other guy. We went with Mad City Moving.
Right on time, Andrew and Robert showed up – They got everything done in the quoted time frame, were SUPER nice to Miss Sarah and handled our belongings like they were family heirlooms. (ok, some were…I think Robert fell in love with an end table of mine, LOL)
Save your time y’all, if you are moving, just dial (608) 274-9855. You will probably get Brenda in the office (who is a reader of mine – ha!) and she can walk you through an estimate.
Ladies, Robert is single — and great with kids (just sayin’…) and he can rock a hat!
No dings in any walls, they moved everything from boxes of toys to washer and dryers… they were even ready to remove a door when it had to be done. No worries, they put it back. I can’t reccommend them enough.
disclosure: we paid full price for our moving experience and felt the need to write a review. Everyone hears the bad stuff, it is fun to write the good stuff – and, we gave them a tip! Our 8 hours cost $1,120 but we emptied a storage shed and the old house…I sure as heck wasn’t going to haul it!
