I pulled these three transactions together last night in ten minutes, before my coupon class in Oregon.
I did pre order some Hamburger Helper for the food pantry but they didn’t know where it was, so I will go back later, after I take Miss Sarah to school. One thing to keep in mind – I only putting three of them in my monthly grocery budget as they are going to my brother. I am using the affiliate money (Money you helped me raise by clicking on links or offers, even printing coupons from this site) to cover the 150 boxes I am getting for the food pantry.
Miss Sarah is in another contest and I got 450 of those buggers this morning.
I will get over 1,000 more when I get the rest of my order later.
Grand Total: $142.78 for $26.55, subtract that $1.50 egg voucher and I am at $25.05, saving 82.5% on 64 items.
Let’s look at my purchases:
For the Food Pantry:
30 Hamburger Helper
For my brother:
3 Hamburger Helper
For Miss Sarah’s School
6 boxes fruit snacks (there are some lower income kids in her class that never bring snacks for snack time so these will go in the teacher’s “closet” for them
450 Box Tops!
For my freezer
6 bags grated cheese
1# green beans
4 Hormel Compleats (I wish I could get the hubster off these but will get them for FREE until then…)
4 crescent rolls (easy coffee Danish for scrapbooking weekend!)
2 cinnamon rolls (going to make them heart shaped for a Sunday morning!)
1 gallon milk
3 containers soy milk smoothie drink
1 loaf wheat bread (I didn’t want to hit the outlet for just ONE loaf of bread today, it’s not worth the gas)
Coffee — Free, is always good here!
I DO plan to hit Aldi for some more avocados and Roma tomatoes this week, but that should be it, after I pick up the rest of my Hamburger Helper today!
Here is the fun part. That 30 boxes of Hamburger Helper was coming out of my affiliate income, not my grocery budget! I DID use coupons, so we get to take a little off that $25.05 total. My coupons took $9.00 off, when some were doubled, so I get to take $21.00 off my $25.05.
My $100 Monthly grocery budget:
-9/4 lunch $17.00
-9/4 Walgreen’s -$10.88
-9/5 Copps -$1.94
+9/6 Walgreen’s +$2.00
-9/8 Woodman’s $16.05
$56.13 to go
9/5 Copps – $4.05
$52.08 to go
