First – let’s talk Schick Razors. I wanted to get a lot of those 10 packs for free – to use in the Blessing Bags. Nada. I actually talked about a preorder to the department manger as I had enough coupons for 30 packs — no go. They are out at the warehouse and no info as to when they will be back in stock. EVERYONE on Wisconsin will have a hard time finding them at their local store I was told.
OK — then looking for the Benefiber 3 packs! I had TWENTY of the $5/2 coupons and that would have made about $30 overage. Again, no where to be seen………..
THEN, I scored!
In the holiday clearance aisle – were holiday packs of Colgate for kids – toothbrush and paste, in a cute gift box for $.86!! (They were $3.37) They had Transformers, Dora and SpongeBob. I had six $2/1 coupons (suck up letter) so I got 12 of them and STILL made $.14 on each! (they don’t expire until 8/2013)
In the same aisle were Pez dispensers (Car’s 2 theme) for $.75 each. I grabbed four of them. I figure that they will be great for Operation Shoebox with some Transformer’s Colgate this November.
I also had six coupons for $2/3 Nabisco items and grabbed a few $1 cups. 18 to be exact…and 7 packs of red BIC on clearance for $.50 each – with the $1/1 coupons ($3.50 overage) and grabbed a FREE box of potatoes with a coupon that was going to expire on 1/31.
I also found two sets of napkin rings that match the wooden chargers that I found a month ago – they were tagged for $2.50 but scanned for $1.00 – bonus!
All in all – ready for this?
If I did my math correctly… it was about $90 of stuff…so I saved 93% AND have a lot to donate!
I am keeping one of the Dora Toothpaste, the napkin rings and red pens. The rest is either for Operation Shoebox or the food pantry.
I would have LOVED to score overage on the Benefiber and then, I would have grabbed milk and fruit for us — and probably the other 20 toothpastes for the food pantry!
Do you have luck playing the Overage Game at Walmart?
