I went to Walgreen’s and got the TP deal, twice. I paid $14.88 and got back $4.00 in RR – so $10.88 for 48 rolls of TP, just under $.21 a roll.
Now Copps:My cheese pre-order wasn’t there.
No biggie, I grabbed 6 bags of grated taco mix and ran them through – $6.94 (5x$.99 for the first five and $1.99 for the 6th), used the (3) $1.00/2 coupons and $2 RR. Paid $1.94 and was supposed to get that $5 Kraft Catalina. It didn’t print. SO… the next thing I was going to buy: 5 packs cream cheese at $.99 – for a grand total of $4.95 – they just gave them to me.
—I DID get a rain check for the greated mozzarella, which was out. I will get 6 of them.
Then, it was a last minute run back to Walgreen’s – as they had been out of the Chex Mix the first time. The hubster actually did this.
3 bags Chex Mix @$1.00 = $3.00, used (2) $.50/1 and a $2.00 RR from the TP. The register froze and it had to be voided, yet she still gave him the $1 RR — they redid the transasction, he got it for free (no tax on food items) and got another $1 RR. He got paid $2 to bring them home!
Then, I hit the new Woodman’s !
I needed sugar to do more canning/jams and hadn’t been in the store yet.
I got 2 Sugar @$2.59
4 SureJel at $1.99
10# pairs @$.69 = $6.91 (Pear Butter!!)
–Coupons used $1.00 off fruit (their flier), (2) FREE sugar WYB 2 Certo, up to $2.00
Paid $16.05 – but should have enough to finish the cherry jam, make my rhubarb pineabpple jam and do the pear butter!
Let’s tack it all into the monthly $100 budget:
-9/4 lunch $17.00
-9/4 Walgreen’s -$10.88
-9/5 Copps -$1.94
+9/6 Walgreen’s +$2.00
-9/8 Woodman’s $16.05
$56.13 to go
Alrighty — 20 days to go and I have used almost half of my budget so far! I REALLY wanted to get that fruit out of my freezer, and into jars! The only thing I want to do this fall is can apple pie pilling and make more apple sauce… so it will be another trip to Zickarts in my future!
I know what I am after this week — but that is another post…
