Other than the huge cereal purchase this month (for the food pantry), I haven’t shopped much!
July Budget $109.25 (monthly budget with bonus $9.25 from first half of the year-split over the last 6 months)
-5.43 movie treats 7/1
-2.00 TGI Fridays 7/1
-2 gallons milk @$2.29 7/14
-$6.44 Aldi run
-$4.50 Peanut Butter Jif to Go at Walgreen’s (10 packs @$1.00 – coupons)
-10 packs Cottonelle from Walgreen’s @$3.17 = $31.70
$54.60 to go
This week there is fresh ground beef at HyVee for $1.77/# and is 80% lean. I plan to get 20 pounds of it. That should come to $35.40 and will live happily in my freezer.
The new Copps/Pick N Save ad has a great deal on block cheese — I will get 5-10 pounds of that too. If it is $1.00/8 oz block, like the Rainbow stores have – I can just squeak in 10 pounds and we will be set for cheese/cracker plates through the holidays…and I will be $.80 over my budget for the month.
My big deals this month?
TP, Ground Beef, Cheese and a lot of cereal for the food pantry.
Yes, shopping lists look strange when you work the stockpile system.
