As stressed as I get during the holidays, I truly do love them. Sure, I’m always running around like a chicken without a head, trying to get everything done before family gets in from out of town or the night before the actual holiday but I love every second of it! While I do love decorating the house, planning out menus around things my family lives for every year and picking out awesome gifts, my favorite part about the holidays is the amount of baking I do. Since I was small its been a tradition in my family to start our baking around the first of November and now that I have my own little family, I keep the tradition alive.
I have a list I work from every year. I do tend to stick with my family’s favorites and old family recipes that have been around since before my Grandmothers time but I also like to try out new recipes that I come across on Pinterest as well. Occasionally I’ll even ask friends for a recipe if I try one of theirs and just have to learn how to make it in my own kitchen.
