When I was offered the opportunity to try Noosa yoghurt, I was intrigued to hear of their Sweet Heat™ flavors. Mexican Chocolate, Mango Sweet Chili, Raspberry Habanero, Pineapple Jalapeno, and Blackberry Serrano are not your typical yogurt flavors, but spicy is something we love in my household! Here is our review of the flavors we tried:
Mexican Chocolate: A mix of chocolate yoghurt with cinnamon and a hint of spicy cayenne. My husband thought it tasted like a Mexican hot chocolate. My daughters tasted it and my 11-year-old enjoyed it and asked to finish it off. My 7-year-old was not as fond of it, but she is not as fond of spicy flavors. The 4-ounce portion that it is packaged in is perfect for a little indulgence.
Raspberry Habanero: On the first bite, there is the sweet taste of flavors which is followed by a slight spicy aftertaste from the habanero peppers.
Blackberry Serrano: This flavor is similar to the raspberry habanero with a sweet berry flavor along with a spicy kick.
Mango Sweet Chili: The mango puree is sweet followed by a spicy chili flavor.
Pineapple Jalapeno: This yoghurt is smooth and light with a slight hint of spice. The pineapple and jalapeno are a good balance of flavors.
The Sweet Heat™ flavor line is unique and different than any other yoghurt I have tried. Those who enjoy sweet with spicy flavors would likely enjoy this line. It could also be used as a dip.
We also got to try the Bhakti Chai yoghurt which is pleasant. It tastes just like chai tea with a hint of cinnamon spice. My husband is not a tea drinker and he really liked it. It would taste yummy used in a smoothie!
If you are not a fan of sweet with spicy flavors, I would recommend trying Noosa’s other flavors. I love how Noosa uses all natural ingredients that are simple and real with whole milk. I can’t wait to try their other flavors (salted caramel and coconut are next on my grocery list!).
