The Nutri Ninja Nutri Bowl Duo with Auto-IQ Boost is a nice small electric set that can meet almost all of your blending and processing needs. It comes with a motor base, 4-cup Nutri Bowl, prep blade assembly, dough blade assembly, 2 Nutri Ninja cups with spout lids, an extractor blade assembly, and a recipe book.
The motor base is sharp looking, and it has suction cups on the bottom to anchor it to your counter-top. The base has 8 buttons and is user friendly. The Auto-IQ Boost button is great! Choose which method you wish to use, press the Boost button, and watch the Ninja automatically pulse, blend, mix, and chop your ingredients. The results are near perfect with ingredients blended smoothly and barely any large chunks left behind. The recipe book is wonderful, and has a variety of nutritious recipes to use with your Ninja. This book has it all from smoothies to shakes to soups to breads to burgers to desserts. It was hard to choose just one recipe to test the Nutri Ninja Duo, so the best option was to choose two! The first recipe was the Choco Nut Butter Protein shake.
After the prep work was done the next step was to layer the kale, coconut milk, chocolate protein powder, peanut butter, a frozen banana, and ice in the Nutri Ninja cup. The Ninja was set to Auto-IQ Boost “Yes” and “Smoothie”. Finally, hit “Start” and the Ninja worked its magic, pulsing here and mixing there.
It was pretty loud but it was quick so that really didn’t matter too much. The result was a super creamy, delicious smoothie. The flavors blended so well that I can now get the nutritious content from kale without the taste! This recipe will definitely be prepared again.
The Broccoli Tots were up next. This recipe was very exciting to try because of a love for tots combined with the healthiness of veggies! The 4-cup Nutri Bowl was filled with coarsely chopped broccoli and onion. The Ninja was set to Auto-IQ Boost “No” and “Fusion Chop”.
The Ninja chopped the ingredients into a nice texture that was suitable for combining with the remaining ingredients and forming the mixture into tots.
After about 25 minutes in the oven the tots were ready. The outside had a good crunch while the inside had a softer texture with the co-mingling of flavors. These will be a great hit when our friends come over for the game on Sunday!
I would recommend the Nutri Ninja Duo to anyone who enjoys a variety of healthy dishes that are a snap to prepare. The recipe book is a great bonus! (Be sure to try the Dark Chocolate Chip Mousse!)
