We are hunting for a new (to us, but used) wooden swing set unit for Miss Sarah. I have been hounding Craigslist and have been kinda frustrated at a few things.
1) People leave their posts up without updating to let you know it is SOLD. I put “pending” on mine and then “sold”.
2) People never reply to you. I replied to EVERYONE who contacted me, even to let them know it was gone.
3) A bidding war?? Seriously?? One was listed at $250 – and the email I got back said:
“Seeing the swing set is fine. There are a bunch of people interested so I am going to give everyone a chance to see it and then make an offer. Otherwise I will be facing a scheduling nightmare. I apologize for the process but I didn’t anticipate the level of interest.”
Make an offer??? The original post said they wanted $250!
4) This is the one I JUST sent a note too – they live in town so it would be close. It was ADORABLE – as you can see, but I am sure it went fast.
