I have shared with you before that I am in the Verizon Ambassador Program — and have been playing with my latest toy: the Droid.
Keep in mind that I am a low-tech person. I married a high-tech person who usually takes care of or explains things to me so I can use them…I am serious!
One of the things I am totally excited about is SO simple, but a normal low-tech gal like me, squeals with delight as they learn it.
(Yes, I am easy to please…LOL)
I now know how to capture a screen shot!
This is more handy than you can imagine – I have found all sorts of practical uses for it.
Ever had to wait for a kiddo who was in dance class, piano lessons or sport practice? I’d love to say that I am one of those mom’s who hangs on every pierotte, but I am not. I figure that I will see the recital or game, and try to multi-task during that time that I have to be there.
–>Screenshots to the rescue!
Sometimes, it’s the “great idea” I get and have to check out – like that screen shot of the Target Kitchen Set for My Generation 18″ dolls. I needed to fill ONE more room for that giant doll house that I reviewed for Wisconsin Parent (you can read about it here). I knew they sold it online, but needed to know what it looked like when I perused the local store.
They had it in stock AND it was on sale.
Ever been on Pinterest? (my greatest time sucker)
Sometimes you come across a cute, yet SUPER easy idea like these candy tree suckers! I have to do some recipes for the Blogger Food Challenge group I am in and use Sixlets.
How cute is that going to be?!!
Now, while I am talking recipes — I might think that I am overstocked with eggnog and do a quick search for eggnog recipes. Don’t Eggnog Monte Cristos sound different and yummy? I didn’t need the entire recipe as I know how to make Monte Cristos, but loved the idea of an eggnog batter to fry it…and the cranberry relish. I have just enough to make it a reality at my home.
Can you see why I am in love with screenshots?
I am not a tablet person.
My old smart phone couldn’t do these.
This is a wonderful new thing in my world!
Just think of how many less trees I kill, now, that I don’t have to print everything off to take with me.
I can hardly wait to take Miss Sarah to her next class so I can play some more.
