The joys of winter in Wisconsin, LOL!
OK – I wasn’t thrilled with the ad this time around and had shared that with you already. But I did something fun – a shopping challenge by a friend for the food pantry! She gave me $20 and wanted to see how much I could get out of it – in items on the list for our church’s food pantry.
I should have bet lunch or something on this — she thought I might get 10 things.
(She doesn’t have very much faith in me, LOL)!
OK – here is what I got out of the below summary for the food pantry:31 boxes of Hamburger Helper (normally $1.79) = $53.94
10 bags cookie mix (normally $2.26) = $22.66
That was $76.60 for $23.40 – but I got back $5.10 on the two FREE veggie oil on the Betty Crocker Cookie promotion…so I am UNDER the $20 and am tossing in Wednesday’s 12 FREE boxes of cereal too.
They are all happily freezing in the back of my car!
