After seeing the 2 day sale at HyVee — I knew I had to hit it today!
$.59 for Hunt’s Canned Pasta sauce (normally $1.89) jumped out at me, as I got the same deal last year! It was their annual “rock bottom price” sale on this and I wanted 20 cans of it…that should hold me until this sale next year between quick pasta nights, and the no bake lasagna I make for families with new babies.
Butter was also a great price –> $1.99 a pound for salted or unsalted, store brand. I grabbed two pounds for me and six for my Mom.
The total receipt was $28.96 — but I get $11.94 from Mom to drop MY total to $17.06, which was like buying 9 cans of sauce and getting 11 FREE, along with 2# of butter.
So, here is my $100 Grocery Budget for the month:
