SIMPLE shopping this week- I only hit Aldi, as we had to be in that neighborhood anyway.
Acorn Squash at $.59 EACH (not per pound like everyone else is selling it) and Butternut for $.99 EACH — that is what drew me to them. Everyone else was $.70+ per pound.
I picked up 7 Acorn and 2 Butternut. That should get my family through the winter. We also got milk, bag of onions, Feta cheese, a 6 pack of German Beer and bottle of wine.
He was a little under impressed with the beer — said it had a bitter aftertaste. I will probably be using it in soup soon – like my cheddar beer variety.
