Shredded Beef Burritos are taken to the next level when you use the simple red sauce…and then top with a little queso fresco! So, let’s get started with the red sauce!
Burrito Red Sauce
- 2 (15 oz.) cans tomato sauce (Mexican preferred)
- 1 (8 oz.) can tomato sauce
- 1 Tbsp. cumin
- Crushed red pepper to taste
- 1 pt. light cream
- 1 tsp. oregano
- 1-2 Tbsp. chili powder
- Black pepper to taste
In saucepan, mix tomato sauce, cream, oregano, cumin, chili powder, black and crushed red pepper to taste and cook like spaghetti sauce until hot and blended.
NOW, you are ready to make the Shredded Beef Burritos!
- Shredded Beef (I use leftover Crock Pot Pot Roast)
- Queso Fresco
- Black Beans
- Your Red Sauce
Take your tortillas, fill them with beef and beans. Put them into a baking dish and top with your red sauce. Sprinkle a little Queso Fresco over it and bake at 350 for 15-25 minutes.
Now, rip into it like a monkey on a cupcake!
