I do want to say “howdy” to the readers/followers that I found in line at every store I visited today – from ShopKo (Hi Pam and Tina) to Menard’s (Hi Kelley, Karissa and the sweet gal ahead of me who’s name I forgot to get!)
It’s nice being able to put faces to the names and know that some of what I share is helpful
OK – now the details – I was out of ShopKo by 6:15 and had my three items. The Princess Chair was the biggie here and it will be perfect in her “new room”.
Then came Walmart (hubby added a few items to my list) and the main thing there was the Cross Cut Shredder for my inlaws. Not a glorious gift but it will look better with their granddaughter’s school picture, homemade jam and holiday cookies, LOL!
Then I went home and napped for 3 hours – yippee!
5:30 popped me over to Menard’s and I was maybe #833 person in line. Again, I got all on my list and found nice soft fuzzy socks for my brother to give grandma. The pink gloves are simply me thinking ahead as Miss Sarah lost FOUR pairs last year. I don’t feel too bad about loosing a $.49 pair, LOL!
I rounded out with HyVee and switched up the Gift card deal as my kid brother forgot to give me his Copp’s card…but will head there now to get 4 movie cards for us (for 2012 kid movie events) and we will use that $15 credit to get milk, a glazed croissant and some fruit. After we get back, I will take another nap – as we have a friend of Miss Sarah’s coming to sleep over tonight…one of those sausage logs is for my Mom, the other two will be sliced today, portioned out and popped into the freezer.
I almost forgot ! Menard’s had a display for the Andee’s Candy! Buy two and use the Mail In Rebate to get up to $1.75 back! That makes one FREE (or both a 50% off deal) I will make a separate post about that – as I use those for my Andee’s Candy Cookies – and Walmart usually had a decent deal on them too!
After all is said and done, I did well and have rebates to send in for the Andee’s, Menard’s shirt and Mug and a few new movies for me to watch (that were cheaper new than I could get used on Tuvie Tuesday and Pawn America).
How did YOU do today?
