Disclosure: I am participating in the Verizon Savers Voices program and have been provided with a wireless device and six months of service in exchange for my honest opinions about the product.
Did you see the latest copy of Consumer Reports?
It devotes fourteen entire pages to the world of wireless phones, their plans, and their carriers.
I can’t really tell you about their article or quote it (they frown on that) but they didn’t tell me anything I didn’t know. They tested over 100 phones AND did survey satisfaction surveys for the carriers.
Verizon is the most satisfying major carrier in their survey.
Since day one of being associated with them, I have seen nothing but a class act. They have treated us like royalty (our Chicago visit for training on this program), given us the latest devices to test and kept in close contact for support.
According to the article, my newest Droid Ultra is $600 retail and my BlackBerry Z10 was $530 — both pretty much top of the line for any carrier. That is serious faith in a simple blogger to do a job. (in addition to the other treats they share with us).
That is exactly how my local stores are… they treat the customers very well, are incredibly helpful and service oriented. They never drop a beat when you know that you are asking the world’s dumbest question. (I know they get their fair share of dumb questions from me…and I would have a hard time NOT rolling my eyes if I were them)
You are curious as to which phone is optimal for your family? What about which plan is most cost effective for you? What carrier should you go with? I suggest you pick up the January 2014 issue of Consumer Reports.
After you read through those 14 pages, I bet you will see why I am so happy here, with my Verizon family.
