I took pop to a follow up surgical appointment yesterday and we ended up getting in trips to the post office, bank and Walgreen’s. While he was getting what he needed, I zipped through and got these things, in 3 quick transactions. The toothpaste was a deal – on sale for $1.99 and it had a $2 RR, I got the last tube.
#1 Blistex and Cough Syrup :
$7.37 — less a $3 RR my Mom gave me (I wouldn’t let her pay me for the soups I gave her so she insisted)
$4.37 OOP and I got a $5 RR for the Cough Syrup and $2 RR for the Blistex.
#2 Blistex and Toothpaste:
I used a $5 RR from transaction #1, paid $ 1.32 OOP and got back $2 RR for the Blistex and $2 for the Toothpaste.
#3 Cough Syrup and Coconut M&Ms:
OK, lame filler item – the candy — but I LOVE coconut and really wanted to try those, LOL! I used the $2RR from the toothpaste and $2RR from a Blistex to pay $2.41 OOP and got back a $5 RR for the cough syrup.
Grand total OOP: $8.10, I got $7 back in RR, so today’s items cost me $1.10…NO coupons used!!! You GOTTA love playing the “Drugstore game”!!!!
Sadly, both of these RR say ONLY at Walgreen’s — but I will roll them into the deals this Sunday! I AM going to hit Walgreen’s and get in on that Zarbee’s cough syrup deal this weekend too – you can never have enough stuff for the winter colds of Wisconsin (in my opinion).
I will take $1.10 off the monthly budget…and have that treat hidden, LOL!
