A lot of Wisconsin Sledding hills are officially open: weather permitting. (Snow would be nice too…)
**The Monster Truck Show is this weekened — just an FYI: People who are part of the event have been killed during the event before, when it was here in Madison a few years ago. It’s a terrible thing to have little kids see… I know a family who is STILL dealing with seeing that tragedy.
Kids in the Rotunda

Visit the UW Geology Museum
1215 W. Dayton St., 262-2399, http://www.geologymuseum.org/ (Mon-Fri 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Sat. 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Free.) —Besides its extensive mineral, rock and fossil collections behind glass, kids can touch rocks from a time when there were volcanoes in Wisconsin, see rocks and minerals that glow, and stand under huge mastodon tusks. Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!
