Art Cart and Art Cart EXTRA!
This gem of the Madison Museum of Contemporary Art is coming to Fitchburg and Stoughton this weekend! 10-noon it is at McFarland, Discovery Garden and 1 to 3 it is at Stoughton, Norse Park.
The museum’s popular, free outdoor art programs brings expert instruction and a relaxed attitude to art projects at parks, playgrounds, and beaches in Madison and Dane County in the summer.
Both programs offer a variety of individual and group art projects planned for children ages three and above. All children should be accompanied by a supervising adult. Organized summer camps and other childcare programs must pre-register; families are invited to drop-in with no pre-registration necessary.
Art Cart EXTRA! will travel to the area communities of Black Earth, Cottage Grove, Cross Plains, DeForest, Fitchburg, Lake Mills, McFarland, Mount Horeb, Stoughton, Sun Prairie, and Waunakee beginning Saturday, June 15.
Chemistry Fun at UW Space Place
Space Place family workshops are offered every Saturday at 10 a.m. for children ages 6-10 and their parents. The workshops are free and open to the public. No registration is required for any of the workshops but attendance is LIMITED to the first 50 people. This weekend: Ketchup Divers – how to make ketchup packets dive and return on command! -See more HERE.
Space Place is at 2300 S Park St, in the Villager Mall, just north of the Beltline Highway.
Visit the UW Geology Museum

Great for those like my daughter who want to be a Paleontologist!

The Memorial Union Terrace
They always seem to have something fun going on there – music, Babcock ice cream, etc and there is no charge! Last time we went there were FREE crafts, a GIANT inflatable Bucky, Balloon animals and an outdoor brat stand (not FREE).
Look for the big orange chair and turn it into a photo-op like we did with Miss Sarah and the peanut of Ashely from Coupons for Wisconsin already this summer!
