I have a strange way of looking at my future reading material: I like to read inspirational / motivational / educational items but if I only read those I would go nuts. So I read one serious book, and then one trash. Repeat.
Trash can be mysteries, romance, or silly non-fictional nonsense. Lately I seem to hooked on English romances from the early 1400s.
The other three books that you see are ones that I’m reading now because they are for our homeless book club. We do a book every month and followed by a movie it is either the same title or same genre as that book…example: the book Meridian by Alice Walker doesn’t have a movie made of it but we will see the movie the help. Meridian is about the movements for civil rights and feminism in the 60s so the movie the help which is during the same time, should be a good fit.
Of course my little stack of 6 shows nothing of what I read with Miss Sarah, but I do not really count those in my personal reading…or you would see Harry Potter, Magic Tree House, and the Lemony Snicket series.
My goal is to read a hundred books this year and the 6 yoy see will put me in at 114. What are you reading right now?
