I have told you before about how excited I am for the upcoming Black Panther movie coming out in February by Disney! The newest edition to the Marvel family has great role models for the African American community and, of course, an amazing story line! These Black Panther Cookies are the perfect treat to whip up and enjoy while talking about that film.

In Disney’s Black Panther, we learn about a young man named T’Challa who inherits the fictitious country of Wakanda after the death of his father. Young and still learning the ropes of a being a leader, he must face Killmonger, a rival who would like to overthrow him and reclaim his own power after being exiled. I could tell you more, but Miss Sarah created an excellent Black Panther Unit Study Lesson Plan on her site that you can check out HERE.

May we suggest whipping up a batch of these Black Panther Cookies, printing out Miss Sarah’s unit study, and watching the movie as a family? It is a great activity to do when stuck in the house, educational, and just darned fun!
